Artist and performer, Kirsten Collins hit up Bitcoin 2021 Miami and made lots of new friends to last a lifetime. On the Friday before the conference ended, her NFT art was on display at the NFT Blue clubhouse meet up with crypto art traders. exchange owners, Grammy winning producers, investors and lovers of art, all connected in at the Museum of Graffiti blocks away from Mana Wynward, home to Bitcoin largest conference and gathering in world history. The packed event was attended by world media, and many other stars including X Game champ Tony Hawk, World Boxing Champion Floyd Mayweather , Entourage Star Adrian Grenier, and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, along with founders and speakers of the multi trillion dollar cryptocurrency revolution taking place globally.

Kirsten is an “indie artist” and indie artists already have proven with record sales over $10 million for single releases to individual buyers, that the NFT for indie artists might just be a good thing. Kirsten is known and has fans for sure, over 900 million have seen her videos on youtube, tiktok, instagram and listened in to her sweet songs on Spotify.

What is an NFT? An NFT ( stands for “non fungible token”) changes everything in the way we think of art, and music. Instead of a music track ( mp3 file) or music video file ( mp4) that plays on youtube requiring literally millions of views for an artist to make a living, the revolutionary NFT digital asset connects these same files and “mints” them into the nearly $1 trillion dollar ethereum cryptocurrency network. Think of it as putting a record album into a gold bar and than selling it. Yes, let your head be blown on that concept. Everyone has! But Kirsten is a pioneer , one of only a few dozen music artists along with Grimes, Snoop Dog, and popular DJ’s n the world who have ventured into this new digital transformation.

Grimes is the latest indie artist to get in on the NFT gold rush, selling around $6 million worth of digital artworks after putting them up for auction this spring. In fact her sales on only 700 streams of music and art is still a world record and towers over mainstream artists who tried to get into the crypto art game but found out the NFT space is for artists , and innovators, not just monetizing the “fame game”. This space is for the true innovators who want to get to know the people in the space like Kirsten was doing at Bitcoin 2021 Miami.

Kirsten Collins makes friends with the crypto founders and blockchain gurus, definitely happy to see artists finally showing up!

The bulk of the sales for the indie artist Grimes, came from two pieces with thousands of copies available that sold for $7,500 each. The works, titled “Earth” and “Mars,” are both short videos featuring their titular planet with a giant cherub over it holding a weapon, also set to original music. Nearly 700 copies were sold for a total of $5.18 million before sales closed. Wow, not chump change for only 700 files of music released compared to the tens of millions of songs on iTunes and hundreds of plays on spotify it would take to make up such income directly to the artist.

Singer/Songwriter Kirsten Collins couldn’t agree more:

This is a beautiful way to collaborate with the many different types of industries that never thought of themselves as artists and are now able to work together to speak to people. We as artists have had limited opportunities in having full control of our art with traditional record labels or thinking and I am really hoping this new direction is the way to go really putting purpose and thought behind every detail.” Said Kirsten.

Some of Kirsten’s fans are really excited after following her music career as it weaved about the music scene.

Her songs on Spotify might be a great fan experience and minting exclusive one of a kind samples of songs as curated NFT animated one of a kind artwork that buyers bid on , is a whole new way of positioning her music career.

Billboard Winning Music Producer Andrew Lane, whose credits include Miley Cyrus, High School Musical, MTV’s Making the Band ( “Dannity Kane”), and many hundreds more said “ This is a game changer, I am glad artists can not only monetize but stake their work and ownership into a blockchain computing system that will far outlast the entire current systems”.

This isn’t a “get rich’ quick system for artists says NFT Blue founders. “ Artists still need to create art, and cryptocurrency innovators who developed the most cutting edge apps and technology the world has ever know, still need to connect, meet and support each other. Without that, the artist finds themselves stuck in the same ‘struggling artist” syndrome. We hope to change that, for a few artist that hop on with us at this digital revolution and crossroads.”

Kirsten traveled to the Bitcoin 2021 Miami Conference and definitely got attention, not only for her but the entire team at NFT Blue.

Buyers can pre register for Kirsten Collin’s NFT drop here on the NFT Blue Launch Pad. Her first piece will be a single one, exclusive one of a kind ( no copies made) 1:1 animated collectible called “Nova 1”.
